Let it snow, Let it snow, Let it snowflake holiday cards!

Here's my newest product -- diecut snowflake holiday cards! I saw this metal die a few months ago and knew I could make some really unique cards with it.

I created 3 different designs to start with-- shown above, clockwise from top left are Swirling Dots, Fa La La, and Let it snow.

First up is "Let it snow"
These can have a photo attached from the back, they can be used without a photo, or they can be embellished with crystals.

clockwise from left to right: card with 4 crystals and photo; card with photo; plain card

Next up is "Fa La La"--
This one uses a delicate fading swirl pattern in the background and incorporates a photo. You can embellish it with crystals, or even skip the photo for a very simple, but elegant card.

Last but certainly not least is "Swirling dots"
This one incorporates a photo and has the message on a circle that is glued to the back. This particular card also features the same dot pattern from the front on each leg of the snowflake.

Do you love them as much as I do? Check out www.facebook.com/jarofideas for your chance to win a pack of cards! These could easily be turned into Save the Dates for Winter weddings -- put an engagement photo in the center and put your specifics on the back for something really unique!!

Pink and Brown :: Tracey & Mark's Wedding

Last year I had the pleasure of working with Tracey and Mark on their wedding invitations, programs. menus, and seating chart. We used a brown pocketfold with a strawberry pink backing layer and natural white cardstock for the invitation and enclosure cards. We used a modern branch motif throughout the stationery.

The programs were based on a design I created for one of my first clients. Tracey and Mark glued the pink beads between their names and made a flower shape with them.

Seating Chart -- A poem was incorporated into the center of the chart, and the last line of the poem was actually used at the start of their invitations -- awesome way to tie everything together!

B-A-N-N-E-R-S!

One of the new products I'm offering is customized banners designed to match my birthday and shower invitations. I created one for Dietrich's first birthday using his month-to-month photos and I got great feedback on it from our party guests.

For Jennifer, I created a circular banner that spells out "Jennifer's Shower"  with the elephant from her invitations on each end and between the words.

For Maggie, the banner spells out "Happy birthday Maggie!" with owls in between the words

giving thanks

Thanksgiving is coming up on Thursday and it's time to ask:
What are you thankful for this year?

I'll go first. Besides the obvious -- family and friends, health and happiness, awesome clients and vendors -- this year I'm particularly thankful for the amazing staff (particularly Dr. Siobhan Haney) at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital here in NJ. My first baby, Leo, was diagnosed with nasal cancer in July and has been a patient of RBVH for the last 4.5 months. I'm happy to report that he's in remission and back to his old self!

Now it's your turn! What are you thankful for? Leave a comment below and you'll be entered for a chance to win this pack of 8 beautiful thank you notes from Cordes Printing. I went to an Open House last month and had the opportunity to watch these cards produced right in front of my very eyes. Each is an off-white matte card with matching envelope, embossed border, and features the "Thank You" in copper foil stamping. These would be great to use as a gift for someone on your Holiday shopping list, or to thank someone for a great gift you received.

Contest will be open until Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at 8:59 PM. A winner will be picked at random and will be notified via email.

If this contest goes well, I will be offering up a chance to win something awesome on Cyber Monday!

Thanks everyone, and have a wonderful Thansgiving!

Die Cut Birth Announcements

Shannon contacted me to create birth announcements for her newborn son. She was interested in something incorporating pastel blue, a train/plane/boat, and no photo.

I came up with these diecut folded cards with a circular window on the front that shows the sailboat peeking through. We used the same sailboat motif and used it with the baby's name on the front of white folded thank you notes that she can use for baby gifts, christening gifts, etc.

Amy & Nicholas :: Silver & Pink wedding

Amy was one of my easiest-to-please brides. Her wedding took place on Bonnet Island Estate with a light pink and silver color scheme-- perfect for her beach locale.

The invitations were booklet style -- I'm hoping to photograph them soon. We used their wedding date (4.17.10) as a theme throughout the various pieces.

Here are photos of some of her reception stationery:

Sarah & Jesse: Hot Summer Wedding

Sarah & Jesse came to me asking for an urban chic invitation for their June wedding. They were married at the newly opened Maritime Parc in Jersey City, NJ -- a very modern space with lots of appeal. Their colors were pink, coral, and taupe, and I got the opportunity to create this beautiful 3-color letterpress invitation:

The RSVP card and a bellyband wrap were digitally printed to help keep costs down.

Also created were placecards, menus, and table numbers, all digitally printed.

Cupcake Wrappers & Picks

I recently bought a professional die-cutting machine, so there will be lots of new products I'll be showing you over the next couple of weeks. First up was the leaf-shaped programs & menus, and now we've got custom cupcake wrappers and cupcake picks.

I created these for Maggie's first birthday -- the incorporate the design from the invitations that I created for her.

Here's the first design -- "Whooo's One?" with the owl. The wrappers come flat, and are really easy to assemble.

This is what it looks like when it's assembled around the cupcake:

Here's another option -- incorporating the stripes from the invitation and a circle with the "1" right on the front:

One of the cupcake pick options:

And another pick, with a solid-colored wrap. This one has been embellished with small holes punched in each of the scallops:

These are so much fun and would make a great addition to your birthday parties, bridal or baby showers, brunch (how much fun would it be to have a wrap around a warm blueberry muffin?), and of course, for your holiday treat tables!
