Plum, Red, & Dark Silver Gray Wedding Stationery

Lynne found my work on Pinterest and contacted me to create the stationery for her wedding last December. Her colors were purple, red, and silver which we carried out throughout all of the pieces.

Square programs had a dark silver (charcoal gray) metallic cover with red ribbon binding:

Placecards had a metallic purple base with a printed white metallic layer. Lynne added the butterfly accent once she received them:

Since the wedding was in December, they gave Christmas ornaments as their favors -- the Thank You sign is displayed at the table next to the favors:

Finally, Lynne ordered a sparkler send-off flag that she attached to a dowel and displayed with the sparklers!

Chalkboard Baby Shower Invitations

I've designed a lot of different projects for Amanda over the years, and was thrilled when she asked me to design her sister's baby shower invitations.  She wanted a chalkboard background with a fun use of typography and also wanted to incorporate different pastel colors to keep it gender neutral.

Here's what we came up with:

We included a small business-card sized insert asking guests to bring a book instead of a card to help build up a library for baby:

For the shower, she had a tree illustration and asked everyone to leave a finger print with a shade of green ink to create a cute family tree for the nursery -- here's the sign I created:

Favors were small jars filled with pastel M&M's. The jars had a chalkboard label on the front, so she attached a stick of chalk plus my favor tags on each:

 Finally, she had cards numbered 1 - 25 and had guests pick a card at random. If the card you chose was "3", then you'd write a note that the baby would open and read on their 3rd birthday. Such a great idea!

Susan's Reception stationery

Susan and Gary were married in Las Vegas a few weeks before their dinner reception. We used one of their wedding photos on the table numbers so that guests could see them on their special day.

We also made these small signs for the tables, to remind people to get up and enjoy themselves:

Finally, tented donation signs were put on the place card table:

All of their signs featured a gold metallic tented base, a chocolate ribbon accent, and printed matte cream paper.

Antique Gold + Creamy White Wedding

I worked with Maryam and Hamed on their wedding invitations, as well as their wedding day stationery. We used antique gold and white metallic card stocks on all of the pieces and designed them to coordinate with the invitations.

Square booket style programs feature their monogram on the front, and white satin ribbon binding:

Mini menus are double layered and are about the size of a piece of paper folded in half both ways:

 that hang from the rearview mirror of their cars:

Cooking themedBridal Shower signs and favors

I designed some signs to match the apron diecut invitations for Kelley's Bridal Shower. The food was set up buffet-style, so an apron held a card printed with each dish's food and was displayed in front.

The caterer had a cooking demonstration for making French Crepes, so a large 8x10 easelbacked had the ingredients needed and the simple directions.

Small tented signs went on the trays with the passed hors d'ouevres:

The favors were wrapped up in hot pink tissue paper and had these favor tags designed to match the rest of the stationery:

And they were unwrapped to show the custom screen printed aprons! The fronts incorporated the cooking utensils that were used on the recipe cards included with the invitations.

Construction Party details

Yesterday I shared the invitations I made for my son's Construction themed birthday party. Here are some of the details we had.

Sawhorse set up at the end of the driveway with balloons (including a dump truck mylar balloon from dollar tree!). A sign read "Builder's Entrance" and the sawhorse was flanked by traffic cones. A sign that said "Dietrich's Construction Site" hung near the mailbox:

A "Hard Hat Area" sign was taped to the gate door, and 2 saw horses were set up and held construction hates, each with a personalized sticker. The stickers had a "3" ghosted in the background with "DGRR 3 Builders Construction Crew" running around the edges:

I made a banner that hung from the fence and read "Dietrich is 3!". A "Dig In!" sign was taped to the fence above the food table, and some small wooden toolboxes I built from Home Depot kits held napkins and silverware:

Playtime! We had the regular sandbox (which we labeled an "Excavation Site" and hid bags with candy and easter eggs filled with coins for the kids to dig up), the truck sandbox, and a wrecking ball game using the cardboard brick blocks and a ball:

The cake was a chocolate layer cake and I decorated it with a dump truck toy filled with chocolate cake balls which ran down the side of the cake. We also had chocolate and funfetti cupcakes with homemade chocolate tool disk toppers:

The favors were sand buckets filled with Construction Dough (cans of play doh with custom labels), construction tools (some playdoh tools in a cellophane bag), bubbles, construction truck stickers, and builder's chalk. Each was wrapped up with some yellow cellophane and had a tag with each child's name on it. A large round sticker said "Thanks for Digging with me!"  For the adults, I made dump truck lollipops and small chocolate dump truck candies. They were individually packaged in cellophane bags and then went into the yellow chevron bags with a small tag stapled on. All of the pieces used orange & white baker's twine as an accent.

Basketball First Birthday

Jen contacted me over the summer to create invitations and stationery for her son's first birthday. The theme was Basketball—namely, Dylan's Rookie Year!

I had so much fun with all of these pieces.

Carnival Party Details

Remember the carnival invitations from a few months ago? Tiffany from Blue Box Luxe just sent me some photos from Stephen's First Birthday Party--looks like it was an amazing event! I designed the signs and logo (which we used on custom printed napkins, drink stirrers, and beach towels) to match the invitations. Enjoy!
