logo design for All About You Events

Happy Summer everyone! I can't believe the summer is half over -- it's gone by so quickly!

I recently designed a new logo for All About You Events.

They are based in Washington, NJ (near Clinton) and offer a variety of services -- from full out wedding design to day of coordination, as well as a la carte services. The owner, Cindy, is warm, friendly and great to work with. For this logo, Cindy asked for something somewhat traditional but with a modern flair and wanted to use red and turquoise (one of my current favorite color palettes).

or maybe just a bridal shower!

Jenny Orsini of Pampered Bride Weddings contacted me a few weeks ago about creating some unique stationery for a bridal shower she was designing. This shower wasn't your typical bridal shower though-- the bride-to-be was a cool, rocker chick so the stationery needed to follow suit.

Here are some photos -- tented table numbers, tented placecards and best wishes cards were created for the shower incorporating purples, black, and a rock motif. Enjoy and best wishes to Sam!

Julie & Matthew's Wedding Day Stationery

Just got some professional photos from Julie & Matt's wedding photographer, Stephanie Jones.

Wedding Programs:

These programs are tealength cards--a unique way to have a program without doing a booklet.

How gorgeous are the flowers?

The programs are double-sided on white matte cardstock, with a black linen card in the middle:

Tented placecards use a metallic purple base and a white matte printed layer with black writing:

The placecards incorporate the design from the wedding invitation:

Dinner Menus: 7" x 7" double layered menus have an easel backing on the backside so that they can sit on the tables

Two menus per table were created -- a cost effective way to have menus at the wedding reception without creating 1 per person.

The tables--you can see the tented menus I created in the same style that I use for my signature style table numbers.

The table numbers--labels were created for wine bottles. So different--I love how these turned out! (and you have an extra 15 bottles or so of wine on hand for after the wedding--SCORE!)

Toasting/drink discs: these slip on to the rim of your glasses and can be used for the champagne toast, or with just your monogram for your signature drinks.

Donation cards -- the card slips into a napkin at each place setting.

It's that time of the year again....

WEDDING SEASON! It's crazy busy over here at Jar of Ideas, but we all love it! To take a quick break from all things wedding, here are some photos of a fun bowling party invitation I created for a party a few weeks ago.... enjoy!

Each invitation was in the shape of a bowling ball with the birthday boy's initials on the ball side, with all of the party details on the reverse. They were attached to the bowling pins with a red satin ribbon and then individually boxed in mailing containers with red paper shred.

Square mailing labels mimicked the design of the invitation and went on the boxes after they were sealed up.

These were such fun to work on!

Pocketfold Invitations

It's March and Spring is almost here. A lot of my spring and summer brides love to use bold colors in their weddings, but want to lighten up their invitations a little bit. A great way to do that is to go with a light colored base and accent it with one of the wedding colors.

For Jackie and Michael, we used an ivory metallic pocketfold, with a deep pink metallic backing layer and have all of the printed pieces on matte ivory cardstock. The lime green grosgrain ribbon ties in their garden wedding color and some green accents are included in the design motif of the invitation.

Their invitations included a folded booklet of directions and accommodations, a RSVP postcard, and a few also included a rehearsal dinner insert that matched the design.

Since their wedding was in July, Jackie wanted program fans. These were double-sided square cards attached to a wooden paddle. They can easily be adorned with a ribbon in your wedding colors, and they will keep guests cool in the warm weather.
